This port is not so much a fishing port as a spot to enjoy different experiences, you can jet ski, check out the yacht harbor, enjoy a nice refreshing drink at a cafe, grab a bite to eat at an eatery or at a sushi bar, enjoy a BBQ or try out fishing. The fishermen will instruct you in everything you need to know, so it is a safe activity even for people who have never fished before, and for example, they will show you how to pull up the fishing rope and how to remove any fish that have been caught on it. It is also possible to take home any fish you catch, or barbecue them then and there. Furthermore there is a morning market every Sunday which is very popular with large crowds of people arriving very early in the morning in search of fresh seafood.

According to tradition it is said the castle was built by Takaie Nigita, a relative of Kusunoki Masashige, later Hashiba Hideyoshi's uncle, Hideyori Koide, became the castle owner and he built the five-story donjon. The garden of the Hachijin no Niwa in the Honmaru (castle keep) can’t be missed.

Nanshu-ji Temple is famous for its Karesansui (dry landscape) garden, which has been designated as a National Site of Scenic Beauty. In addition, on the entire ceiling of the Buddha temple you will find the painting of Hakkaku no Ryu, the all-seeing dragon; it gets its name from how no matter where you go it seems to be looking at you. You can touch a taste of the mystery of history as it is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu’s tomb may be located in this temple.

This building has been designated as a Tangible Cultural Property Designated by Osaka, it was built by the former president of Osaka Goudou Bouseki Co., Ltd., Tanigcuhi Fusazou who from the Meiji Period to the Taisho Period was called the Cotton King as his company was at the center of the Kansai textile industry. On this site its Western-style buildings, Japanese-style structures, warehouses and tea rooms are said to be architecturally noteworthy even to current day architects. There is a clear sense of quality, and examples of the finest materials can be seen everywhere such as stained glass, Nishijin brocade woven walls, Japanese ash, oak, Yakushima cedar planks, Koumatsu wood, and more.

A sake brewery that was opened 290 years ago. This brewery has become well-known through appearances in media, and it is has achieved recognition worldwide at events such as the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit, the Shanghai Expo, and at competitive events. They make the very delicious Japanese sake Naniwa Masamune. Furthermore, the main brewery building was built from a detached room and a storehouse separate from the main house in 1916; it has been designated as a Registered Cultural Property and can be visited as well as the sake brewery itself.

There are seven stores in the Kansai area, and one of these stores is located just opposite Kansai Airport. They carefully select adsuki beans made in Hokkaido, and then using sweet bean paste, which is made from only adsuki beans and sugar, together with dough prepared day before, they make taiyaki which has a crunchy thin coating and plenty of anko. Their taiyaki has appeared in different kinds of media many times.

This Japanese confectionery brand from Senshu was opened in Izumisano, Osaka, in 1892, and their motto is "Let's help create a moment in time for local families at home.” At their main store in Izumisano you will find Japanese sweets and specialty products which originated from the local area, for example, Sengoku, Muzurigure, Original Osaka Mitarashi Dango and more. Some of their products are actually sold at souvenir stores in Kansai Airport as well.
